Jun 28, 2012 路 I have a fiat grande punto 06 reg that has decided not to start. The immobiliser light is staying on. At first I thought it was the battery but the radio and windows work fine. Had it tested by a mechanic who could not get into the system he needed to. Believe its one of a few things; ecu fault, immobiliser fault, dodgy cable.
Mar 7, 2011 路 Frazer435. Having problems starting my 2007 Grande Punto 1.2 Petrol from cold. It turns over and fires up ok but then dies immediately. The temp gauge then shows a warm engine (even though it's cold) and the fan comes on. It takes 5 or 6 attempts to get it to start up and stay running and when it eventually does stay running the choke doesn't

This instrument cluster is a common problem for the Fiat Grande Punto built from 2005 - 2011, the dash will go completely blank and not work at all. You may find that the fault starts out as an intermittent failure but then goes completely dead. We can rebuild your own instrument cluster or supply replacement units when in stock.
Nov 7, 2011 路 An old thread - but our 64 Grande Punto 1.2 has something similar. - brief flash of engine warning light. - loss of power (like it was running on three cylinders) and lumpy. -.ie.,foot to floor and hardly accelerating. - intermittent - sometimes engine off/back on 'clears' the issue. In to the FIAT garage yesterday - two stored Faults - misfire
Apr 24, 2009 路 I have a automatic transmission and occassionally (although more frequently) it seems to get "stuck" in gear. The display will show either 1 or 2 and then rev and keep revving, so I push the gear stick up to manual override up a gear and I get "Gear not Available" It wont go up down or neutral. I have to come to a stop, switch the engine off

Oct 30, 2019 路 Loose Heat Shield. One common cause of engine rattling in your Fiat Punto is a loose heat shield. Over time, as your vehicle ages and accumulates mileage, the heat shield can become loose. When this happens, you鈥檒l likely notice a rattling noise coming from the exhaust area, particularly when revving the engine in neutral and releasing the
Jun 22, 2019 路 1. Battery Cables. If you have a battery post that looks like this, it may be keeping your Punto from starting. Start by taking a look at the battery posts. If they are loose or corroded, it acts as a barrier that can keep the starter from getting the voltage it needs to crank the engine.
Mar 28, 2012 路 Hi Guys, Went to look at a car with a mate from work today for his daughter, was a Grande Eleganza on an '08 plate with the semi-auto gearbox. Had it out for a drive and the gearbox seemed to work quite well in both auto and sequential modes. Didn't get the car in the end anyway as it had some bad bodywork repairs on the rear quarter and tailgate.
